Busy Week!

Last thursday my brother Jake's girlfriend and I headed up to Wisconsin to welcome home my other brother from his mission in argentina. It was a blast, we had alot of family there with him at the airport and then even more came on sunday to hear his talk and eat lots and lots of food. Its wierd to have him home, its like he never even left.... he is still pretty much the same. His first day back he got up real early and made his bed, but every other day after that he stayed up till 2 or 3 playing video games and slept in way late, back to normal lol. His excuse is that he worked everyday for 2 years and needs a vacation. lol It was a blast to be able to stay with my mom and dad for a few days, the bummer thing about wisconsin though is that you have to drive at least 30 mins to get anywhere!!! 30 mins to church, 45 mins to a mall. 30 mins to a taco bell!!! aaahhhhh lol

Then on Tuesday we crammed my car full of people and brought my family back with us to go to the Temple on Thursday!!

It was a great experience and i am so greatful to have such a wonderful family to be there with us :) all in all id say it was one of the best weeks i have ever had

Green Eggs and Teeth

Every year for St Patrick's day when i was growing up my mother would make green breakfast food... she claimed "The Leprechauns came last night and turned the milk green!!!" orr "Those stinkin leprechauns turned the pancakes and eggs green!!" So now i cant let a st patricks day pass by without green food for breakfast, nick was totally grossed out by the green eggs, i wasnt watching but im pretty sure he just threw em away lol but he drank his glass of green milk and loved it :)

Then Easter came and was pretty uneventful, Wil had the nastyest cough and fever, im pretty sure it came with the huge freaking tooth that wont seem to pop through on the top. So i kept him home from church because he was just plain miserable. it really started friday while wil n i were grocery shopping at walmart. i was about half way done had lots of crap in my almost full cart, like yummy pop i had hit the junk food isle, frozen food, when he just started crying, and crying, unconsolable. i was carryin him around tellin him that we were almost done but he didnt seem to care. so i had to take crying baby and my cart of goodies to the dressing room area and find a quiet place to sit, gave him some orajel drink of juice some motrin nothing, absolutaly inconsolable. at least 10 mins of just straight crying he wouldnt fall alseep cuz we were in walmart, so i had to get up and leave my cart full of wonderfulness and walk out of the store and take him home. i still cant believe it. what a kid, he was just miserable, cryed the whole way home till he fell asleep then once we got home it took me 20 mins to get him to go back to sleep :( i hate teething. it sucks. but today he seems to be doing much better, we have a 8 hour car ride on Thursday that i neeeeed him to be happy for lol

this weekend

This friday's date night was Horton Hears a Who! and this movie was awesome. not really date worthy but nothing came out this weekend..... nothing.... n im not really a big fan of movies like Step Up 2, so horton it was. All star cast of voices, you really cant go wrong. I think im going to try to take Wil to it this week or next. he would really like it and hasnt really been to a movie in a while, i think the last movie i took him to was Enchanted. so that has been a while.

Well and in other news we got our temple date set! we are going April 3rd, its a thursday, and we are doing it all in one afternoon, it might make for a long day but we would rather do it that way then drive out to detroit two days in a row. and it should work out perfectly, my little brother is coming home from his mission the weekend before, and march 29th. So wil and i are driving to wisconsin (8hours) to go see him come home, listen to his homecoming talk on sunday the 30th, driving home on tuesday probably, bringing my whole family with us, then going to the temple and getting sealed on thursday! which is cool cuz then my brother can be there with us. im excited.

Baby for sale

holy flip, what a week i have had. Wil is getting 2 new teeth this week... hooray.... the last two nights in a row he has been up and down every 2 or three hours screaming. he is so crabby and fussy and such a punk i've got nothing to do for him, and then, poor kid, this morning we were playin on the floor and i tried to do the wheelbarrow thing to get him to crawl for real instead of just army crawlin around and his arms gave way and smashed face/binki first into the wood floor.....

i just thought it was a nice fall, but about ten minutes later he looked like daffy duck lol, poor thing, i felt so bad but i couldnt help but to laugh, and that is the very same spot those two teeth are coming in too. ugh, i cant wait for date night tomorrow and get a little break from my crabby hunny.

oh and big news, as of last sunday nick and i are current temple reccommend holders!!! so now we just need to set a temple date and then we can get sealed together, i am so excited and happy, it has been a very long road for our little family, i get all emotional just thinkin about it, but since the temple is closed for the next 2 weeks i havent been able to make reservations as of yet. bad timing huh lol, i cant wait tho!!

Weekend movie review

So every friday night without fail Nick n i go see a movie, every friday.... Anyways since i am becoming such a movie expert i thought i would start reviewing the movies i see every weekend tell ya what i thought about it.Last night we saw The Other Boleyn Girl. Now i really liked this movie. It made me so greatful to live in the times we do, its a stroy of queen elizabeth's mother. It was such a corrupt time but the twists in the story line the whole way through were enough to keep nick interested. the way that women were just traded around and told who to marry to up the status of thier families was heart breaking. ima give it 3 starts, 3 outta 5, the acting was amazing. Def a chick flick though, i felt bad in the end making nick sit through it. But my other options were Jumper or Doomsday, bleh.

Reenactment

Today i went to walmart... ... 2 hours and one crabby kid later i got home, since the crazy weather here has melted all the snow to slush then froze it back up again my driveway has a layer of ice about 4 inches thick all over it, i refuse to do anything about it, i hate winter, i have shoveld too many times and i am so done with winter now, so i boycotted salting the driveway or buying more salt for the driveway, serves me right cuz while i was bringing in the groceries (27 bags at a time cuz im super woman grocery carrier) my feet slipped out from under me and i did a cartoon fall flat on my back bashing the back of my head my right thigh and elbow on the ice/part of a rock that was there and man does this big girl fall hard. groceries everywhere, cans of soup under the car, and my ginormous rear end landed on the bag with the doritos and both loafs on bread in it :( so now im sore, very sore, and we have to eat smushed bread and dorito dust for the next 2 weeks, lmao.

Random thoughts

The mid-winter blah's have toootally suffocated my will to blog. Theres really nothing exciting going on around here. I spend my days lately cleaning up after baby messes and day dreaming of when Curtis Stone will rescue me from the Wal-mart produce section :) dang hes dreamy.





I am so impatient for the spring its sick, not only will the weahter be nicer and i can open up the windows in my stail house but Wil is gonna be 1 and can finally drink normal milk that doesnt cost $25 a can.......... stinkin kid, hes so expensive but good thing hes so cute, makes it worth it :) Yesterday i had to lower the mattress in his crib, he is finally moving all over, goes from crawling to sitting and pulls himself up on everything!!





Question i have been contemplating - am i too old to go through a gothic stage?? haha, but all of my wardrobe is black. black shirts, skirts, nail polish, coats, purses,hats, lots and lots of black, and now my black phase has moved on to my kid, with his black skater shoes and at least 4 or 5 black teeshirts. im not sure if its a bad thing, i mean in high school i went through a pink phase so maybe its just like that. maybe its because i feel skinnier in black? they say that its a slimming color, anyways i am one step away from black lipstick and pale white powder foundation..... please dont let me take it that far :)
