wil update

My brother called to talk to Wil the other day, they have funny conversations where they sing old mcdonald back and forth to each other, wil sings "EiEiEIEiEi OOOOo" and make animal noises so i though this video would be good to post and share a Wil update, he is about 16 1/2 months old. He is such a smart kid, talks like crazy i hae to watch what i say around him. He knows tons of animals and animal noises now, cat bear pig horse sheep etc. he sings old mc donald and picks different animals for each verse lol, but mostly he says Cow. loves itsy bitsy spider and If your happy and you know it. he can count! sort of i hold my fingers up and he says "Two Two two two TWO!!" and points to em all. He colors amazingly and can pick out the color Blue "Boo" Purple "puprrr" orange "ench" He knows the signs for milk and more but now says it while he signs it, come up to me and says more pweeese. and then says thank you "kak ooo" finally last week he started calling me mommy. He said dad, daddy dada just fine but called me Boppy....... boppy?? i dunno, sorta cute but kinda sad. now he calls me mommy or Mom! when hes mad at me. long list of wil words mommy daddy baby wil, grandma "Graaaaaaam" grandpa "graaaaapppa" rachel "Chel", juice, more, please "pweese" thankyou "kak oo" book, toy, tv "TB" mouse, hot, blankie, bink, nigh night, prayer

ugh i cant remember more.... i shoulda done a post like this months ago lol. We do a story time at the libabry twice a week where he has learned a bunch of new songs and will sit and read forever afterward.

My little Gentleman

Tango got his haircut yesterday :) it was a little expensive so i figured for all my time and money i put into this dog he needed to be broadcast on the blog lol. Ignore nick in the background, he was on the phone. how rude to talk on the phone while someone is taking a video

We took a trip to chicago last weekend, my parents live in wisconsin and chicago is almost right in the middle of us So we thought we would hang out with them on saturday and come home saturday night, hit a temple session and spend the rest of the day doing something fun, like shed aquarium.

not with our luck, no way lol

it rained and rained and rained. record rain fall in the chicago area last weekend. 9 inches!!! most of the streets were blocked off lol. Sooooo we went up friday night and spent the night in a hotel, my parents were supposed to make it there saturday morning for like a 9am session or as early as we could get in. but it was raining so bad they didnt even get there till about 10, so we sat in the room and waited. Of course i forgot a white dress shirt for nick and he had to have one so he trecked down the road to khols whose parking lot was flooded,. much like all the streets, he didnt want to walk around in wet shoes all day and there was like 4 inches of standing water in the parking lot so he took off his socks and shoes to walk into Kohls lol. by the time we got to the temple it was about 11. got somewhere for lunch at about 2..... took our time eating cuz the dumb museums close at 4....... then headed home.... lol, took us an extra hour to get home because 96 was closed in indiana because all the lanes were flooded lol. comical, i have never seen so much rain in my life.. i think i must have broke a mirror or something during our move cuz the hits just keep on coming. lol this is one of the only pictures i got of our trip.... scenic huh

Kindermusik

Last week this lady stopped me on the street here in howell in front of the library, saw that i had a young toddler and explained that she taught a kindermusik class geared towards babies. told me the costs of classes for a semester (which i thought was a little expensive for me when story time at the library is twice a week and free) but I got excited about it, one more fun thing for me to do with Wil during the week, since its getting colder im in need of fun activities. she offered me a free class just to test it out and i jumped at the chance! Who doesnt want to make their kid smarter right? So we get there and there are only 3 other moms and toddlers in the class, which i thought was nice small class, less sharing toys for wil, equals less screaming!
Well i guess the kindermusik program is all about stimulating senses to help with development, so we were bouncing the kids on our knees, swaying side to side, does something to the inner ear, alot of sitting still for a 1 year old so it didnt work out too well, and she kept telling me to go get him and have him sit on my lap, so i chased him around for a half hour setting him back down till he kicked me enough and got away..... hhmmm? then she got out toys like bells or balls, stuffed animals, mind you this is an hour long class, we have a half hour left, so every 5 mins there was a different toy and song, then the clean up song.... this is where it got me, just when he was warming up to the bells, it was time to put them away, of course he didnt want to but she was singing the song in his face so away went the bells, then the screaming started lol, but then theres balls, then 5 mins, (no joke just 5 mins) time to put the balls away, screaming, scarfs... 5mins... screaming... stuffed pigs... 5 mins... screaming....
So, i know that theres a big hubub about all these classes to help development for you babies, but i think he is just as stimulated being thrown around by nick when he gets home and reading books and playing with toys with me during the day, and there is alot less screaming. I just think that some of these moms are pushing the toddlers a little too hard, im sure there are some benefits down the road, whatever whatever, but i think ima save the $100 and go to the library lol

Big Update

i finally unpacked the box with the adapter to get the pictures onto the computer! after i loaded them i realized i have barely taken any....... so i had to take a few more. lol

So we are officially almost moved in! Nick started his new job at morgan stanley about 2 weeks ago now. He likes it okay.. its a job :) more of a career move though. we went out last night and got him 3 new suits and shirts/shoes/accessories to go with them, boy does he clean up nice :) when they come back from being altered i will totally post pics of my well dressed man :D

My job lately has been on the home front. cleaning. organizing, painting. in order to move in to the "apartment" we had to build a wall, so that there would be 2 bedrooms downhere instead of just one.

its a pretty huge basement so we built the wall not really in the middle but in like a third of it.

and this is what the apartment looks like now. sortof, we still have alot to get put away. and i just made a trip out to lansing to grab more boxes yesterday. so it was almost empty.

My father-in-law has used the basement as his pool room. so there is a huge pool table right in the middle of the "dinning room" area. aparently it costs a couple thousand dollars to have them moved so that is out of the question, i asked him if we could push it up against the wall and then he said that if we move it a little then he has to have someone come out and balance it which also costs a few hundred dollars.... im so excited to look at the hugantic pool table everyday, and since i am such a pool shark... i am even more excited to get to play pool.... ...... aaanyway.... lol

this is our favorite place to play, wil plays in the sand box and i sit on the porch swing and watch the lake. ugh so nice

and this is chocolate covered Wil, not quite as tastey as a chocolate covered doughnut but still really sweet lol. i locked him in his room while i painted one night with a tiny, i mean tiny handful of M&M's haha, who knew he could turn 7 m&m's into such a ridiculous mess. everything was covered, the doors the walls the baby gate the rug... omgosh it was everywhere. he reached out for a hug and i reached for the camera lol

Nick in all of his spare time lol has built himself a super computer. i mean this thing is sick. liquid cooled tubes runing around the inside cooling the parts lol. neon green tubes. its got 4gigs of ram right now but can handle up to 12. the processor is a quad core pentium. which is just crazy lol. best video card and motherboad avaliable on the market right now. the case had to be hugegantic to fit it inside. the case itself, totally empty weighed 70lbs lol. he got a 24 inch high def monitor.

but thats just the fun stuff. Nick's car was in the shop getting a new windsheild and tires last week, so i had no car. then this week the stupid thing broke down on his way home from work on monday night so its back in the shop, they say the timing belt broke, which is expensive and apparently it could have bent all the valves in the engine.... even more ridiculously expensive to fix. everything i seem to do lately has been a comedy of errors. from the car breaking down to Wil getting car sick in the middle of the expressway on our way to lansing. then tango being sick all night in gross little spots all over the carpet lol. with all the running around we have been doing i still havent gained any weight. im almost 17 weeks along and im still down 4 lbs from when i got pregnant.... ugh i still have to pick a new doctor and get our new insurance settled before my next appt which is the 26th for my ultrasound. i really want the ultrasound to be with the doctor i will be delivering with, just to make me feel better but i need to get the new insurance info in the mail. sooo stressed haha.

oookay so i think we are caught up :) ill stay on top of this blogging better now lol

oh i think i forgot to mention that my mom was here for my bday and she got me a new camera!!! but really the best thing she did was printed my blog out from the past year page by page and made a book for me! i havent really been journaling just blogging and im always talking about how i need to print it out and she did it for me, i cried, what a simple and thoughful gift. im still so greatful. i cant believe its been a whole year since ive been blogging lol. so hopefully she will print this out for me too to add to my book :)

moving while your pregnant sucks.... really really sucks!!! its hard and stressful anyways, throw in a stressed out hubby, a 16 month old thats having a hard time sleeping in the new place and ridiculous hormones and u've got lots of tears from the preggo.. lol
buuuut. we are settled in sort of. all of the important stuff is here in howell, there will be a few more trips back to lansing to get all the random things that didnt fit in the back of the tiny baby u-haul lol.
Nick will start his new job in detroit at the beginning of next week so here we sit in this gorgeous basement apartment at his parents house till our house sells. which with the current housing market could be forever!!!! but i am not complaining, this basment apartment is way nicer than any apartment we could have gotten.
Nick's parents live right on a lake in howell. we have 2 bedrooms a huge bathroom, living room dining room, fireplace, full size kitchen, dishwasher!!!! (i have been with out for tooooo long!!!) and central air! which we didnt have either, 2 sets of nice french doors, one in our bedroom, that over looks the rap around porch and the lake. and one in the dining room. i am so spoiled, they shouldnt have made it so beautiful down here we may never leave!!
once i find and unpack the box with my adapter to get the pictures on the computer i will post em :)

Half Blood Prince

I am such a harry potter dork, i love it all, all the books and movies, so great and so much fun. The new teaser trailer for the 6th movie came out tonight you can watch it here and i put a countdown on top of my blog so that you can keep the excitment alive for when the movie comes our in november!!

He also has started to say alotta words, im going to have to keep a tally on the side of the blog and print it out for journal purposes, cuz who honestly still hand writes a journal lol :)
