Christmas 2012

These are all terribly out of order, so I will just put a quick caption under them and hopefully not have to ever have such a big post lol

 

 

Along with my Christmas Gift my Boys made me a story book that was full of pictures of their trip to target to pick out my gift,  it was hilarious,  and made me cry, I cry a lot

 

 

Christmas morning!!  Nick has an app on his phone that when you say "cheese" the camera will take a pic!!!  Ember didn't quite get it,  daddy jumped behind us and said cheese and she just kept lookin at him :)

 

After Christmas Nicks parents took us to Traverse city to the Great Wolf Lodge for 2 nights and 3 days, It really was awesome,  we had a lot of fun,  The boys had their own little sweet with bunks in them in our room and a tv,  it was so awesome

 This was from the beginning of Dec when we sent our letters out to Santa,   They were pretty cute,  Cooper asked for a bed for Ember, "because cribs aren't beds"

 Nick and Ember and I played Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus in the Live Nativity at church :)  it was awesome.

 We went out to see Santa in the Novi mall,  He was an awesome Santa Wil leaned over to me when he saw him and said "I think that might be the REAL one!!!"

Christmas really was fun this year,  they are at such perfect ages,  the excitement was tangible

 

 Both boys got Reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter) to scatter in the yard to that Rudolf could smell the house and see it sparkle from the sky,  wil took his time and scattered it evenly everywhere, and cooper threw one handful and then dumped it all in a big pile in the middle of the driveway lol, 

 We spent Christmas eve with grandma and grandpa blaine and Ember got her hand painted toy box!!!   its gorgeous and matches her bedding,  so perfect, I love it a lot!!!!   I gave her a blanket to paint it from  which I did with Wils toy box and his turned out great too!  Coopers I just asked for a sports theme...  and well it was kinda lame.....  lol so I am super glad I didn't do that this time :)

 Christmas morning!!!!  They were so excited,  I think they woke us up at 7, but Wil said that they had been up for a while lookin at the boxes :) 

 When we got home from great wolf lodge we left nick at home and headed to iowa for new years!!!  We had a dance party with a fog machine and Jake n Rachel were there,

We took the kids sledding behind Grandma Granzow's house and they cried like little girls,  it was hilariously frusterating lol,  It took us 45 mins to get sledding clothes for everyone,  snow pants for me n Rachel and grandma n grandpa,  we all got over there and it was soooo cold that we went down the hill 2 times and the boys were both crying so hard, they got snow in their faces, or wil thought he broke his foot,  lol so we called it early,   stinkin pansie girld,  they needed their daddy there to smack the sissy outta them!!!

So today I took the kids to Castaway Café by myself on a Saturday!!!   They were crazy running around the apartment like animals and had so much energy,  it was like rain/snowing outside so I decided it was a good idea,  that place is nuts on a Saturday and they jacked up the prices since we were there last.  Wil is 5 at this point,  Coop is 3, and Ember is 9 months and not realy crawling,  like army crawling.
We were there playing for at least 4 hours,  we got there when it opened,  we had lunch there a few hours later,  then played some more. That's when it started to get really busy,  there were a lot of kids there,  so we decided it was time to head out,  The kids are always right by me,  I know where they are and they never wander off for more that 5 mins without coming back for a drink or to ask for something else lol,  So we all decided we would go down the slide one more time then head out. I told Cooper one more time,  he said ok!  then ran off.  10 mins later I he still hadn't come back,  im lookin for him,  looking in the big structure, but I don't see him.  So I send Wil in to get him and tell him we have to go. Wil does a lap and he cant find him,  not panicked I send Wil into the Bounce House room,  and the arcade room to look for him,  Wil comes back and says he still cant find him..... So a little worried now I do a lap through all the rooms and don't see him,  Now Im starting to stress out,  I do one more lap,  yelling for him,  don't see him anywhere. So I find a worker,  I tell her that I hate to be "That mom" but it has been 20 mins and I cant find my 3 year old!!!  So they ask me his name and what he looks like and she and 3 other workers do a lap through the rooms to look for him. When they still cant find him my panic really set in,  I felt like I was going to vomit and there were a million horrible scenarios running through my head. At this point it had been about 30 mins since I had seen him. The workers then went and got all the workers,  shut the doors down not letting anyone out or in, so there was at least 10 people plus the owners hollering for cooper and everyone was looking,  that's when they sent 3 girls up into the play structure and I actually told the lady "Cooper doesn't hide though,  its been a long time, he wouldn't do that"  I shouldn't of said that because I was really "that mom" then who thought her kid would never do something lol,  But then I pulled Wil aside and asked him to say a prayer,  I was pretty much hyperventilating,  I was having a hard time breathing and I was holding ember who was totally passed out the whole time. But we sat down and Wil said an awesome prayer that heavenly father would help us find cooper and that he would be okay, We were going on 45 mins at this point.  After he said amen,  we looked up and were watching the girls in the structure and I see him,  Someone found him!!!  He had been hiding in a tube in the structure for 45 mins,  I hadn't cried at all this whole time, until he comes down the slide with a giant smile on his face and then I just broke,  I gave him the biggest hug and was just bawling,  then I thanked everyone, apologized profusely, and then we went home, I asked him what he was doing?!?!  Why were you up there>!>!  mommy couldn't find you,  u have to come check in every few minutes it had been too long,  I went on and on,  I asked him why he was up there and he said "I didn't want to go home so I stayed up there"
So when we got home he got in big trouble,  went right to his room and I made him take a nap till daddy got home....  it was awful, 
But sweet Wil had an awesome experience with an answer to his prayer and he was very excited to see it work like that. It was great to hear him tell me that heavenly father heard and answered his prayers.

September

We had a long sumer full of fun things that i might catch up on later, but september has been fun for us so far too :)  Our little Wil started kindergarten!

I took this picture while we were walking in and he was so excited holding my hand on the first day. I know its a little blurry, but i wanted to remember that moment forever. He is such a big kid now.

 

 

These are his friends from preschool last year that are in his class this year! Jenna, Reghan, and Conner. He was so excited to have so many friends already in his class

 

Coop has been extra lonely without Wil around all day. He has made up new imaginary friends that he has tag along with us, Ember is just along for the ride :) Cooper tries to play with her but its just not the same, and when Wil comes home he is just so tired that he doesnt want to play, But since cooper has had school start he has been a little less needy :)

He has the same teacher that Wil had last year Ms Kym and Ms Vicky, they are amazing and he is loving it. Came home yesterday and asked "Hey mom did you know trees come from seeds?" love it

 

Ember had her 6 month check up yesterday and shots,  shes in the 75th percentile all around  17 and 1/2 lbs, 27inches long, she sits up amazingly and rolls all around and spins in circles while doing tummy time on the ground. She eats all kinds of baby foods, super happy baby. Still doesnt sleep great during the day. not on a schedule really, but we will see if that ever happens.

Camping and Poop

 We had a fire in the backyard last night and let the kids stay up crazy late (till like 10) on a school night,  it was a blast. Daddy told ghost stories, Wil had some good ones too about Zombie Marty and Alex, and dragons. They had been asking to go "camping" for a while now,  thank goodness they dont want to sleep outside in tents yet,  im not all about that.

 Then this morning was the Mother's day Brunch at Wil's preschool!!  We ate lots of good food and Wil made fun crafts for me. I had an awesome crown to wear and the preschoolers had a cute song to sing for us.

On a completely unrelated note, I have a gross story that I need to remember because it was such a gross day but i had to laugh to keep from crying lol. We musta ate something really gross, but Coop went in to go to the bathroom,  about 10 mins later i went in to check on him to make sure he was okay. There was poop everywhere.... literally everywhere...  his little undies where on the ground,  it looked like he had bent over to take them off, butt pointed at the changing table/dresser and when he bent over he exploded out the back, all over the dresser and it was dripping everywhere,  then he stepped in it,  and smeared it everywhere on his way to the toilet, then when he was done, tryed to wipe it up, so it was on his hands,  on the shower door,  on the wall,  on his shirt,  he was standing in the middle of this amazingly biggest poo mess i had ever seen, when i walked in he was so embarassed,  he just kept saying "im sorry mom! im sorry mom!"  oh man, 
THEN later I went in there to change ember,  it still smelled like bleach in there.  She had a suuuuper full poo diaper, so i assumed she was done,  while i had her diaper off she exploded all over the changing table,  it shot across the table and hit the door inthe bathroom and was dripping all down to the floor......   then i get her all cleaned up,  assuming she is done again,  went through 2 more diapers in the next 3 minutes..  then just sat there with her sitting on a wipe till she was done 10 minutes later, once i had everything cleaned up, i stuck a diaper back on her,  and she went again.....  sooo much.    we went through 5 diapers in one changing!!!  aaaahhhhhhhhhhh
so much poop....  Nick comes home and says "It smells like a skunk in here"   i wanted to cry a little

April

 Started April out with Easter!!!!   it wasnt too exciting this year, but still very fun!  We colored eggs a few days before, I made matching Skirts and Ties for us all to wear to church and we had an egg hunt right away in the morning :) 

 After church we had yummy food with Grandma and Grandpa B, and they had a scavenger hunt, with a map to help us find the treasure. It was really cool and the boys had a lot of fun :)

 Other than that we have been just tryin to get used to normal life with all 3 kids, it has been overwhleming but the boys love thier sister and are super sweet with her. She is the best and prettiest baby :)

 Ember was chillin in my bed one morning, sometimes she ends up in bed with me by the time that morning comes, but Wil went in there and was just cuddling her, it was the sweetest

 Wil had  birthday and turned 5!!!!  holy smokes....  its hard to believe that he is that old.

 Ember had her 2 month check up on May 3rd,   she weights 11.3 lbs, she is 23inches long and in the 75th percentile!!  (what a tiny baby lol :)

 Rachel came and stayed for a little over a week,  Rachel and Ember really bonded,  they have daily couch naps,  what ever will we do for nap time when rachel leaves :(

For school Wil needed a picture of him and I together....  SO this is the best we got,  I took about 30 million....  we are soooo not photogenic  lol

March

 March was a pretty big deal,  My mom stayed for almost a week, she was so sick of hanging out here from her 3 week stay while i was in the hospital that she didnt want to stay too long,  my everyday life makes her too tired lol,  this was rachel seeing the baby,   she is out at BYU,  didnt get to come for a visit until the end of april :)

 My brothers and parents were able to come up the weekend before easter to bless the baby!  They all got to meet Ember and hang out for a couple days,  it was cold and rainy so we played video games, and uncle Todd took the boys fishing in the back yard

 Blessing day!!  The dress Ember wore was the dress that I was blessed in as a baby,  My friend Lara took some pictures of her in it a few days before, they turned out amazing!!

 I feel like kindergarten round up was at the beginning of march,  it was,  and the blessing was at the end,  but!!!  This kid is headed to kindergarten in the fall!!  all day every day!!!  I only cried a little when they handed him the owl that had a shirt on that said "Howell Public Schools, Class of 2025"  

 When Ember was 2 weeks old we headed to the Zoo!!!   lol  im stupid, but it was still fun! We had a week of 80 degree days and felt we needed to take advantage of them

We also had a marshmallow war before we got new carpet,   we waited in the shadows for nick to come home and had a blast pelting eachother with marshmallows
